For the 2012-13 season, she was one of eight members from Aim High Academy to be named to the national competition team.ĭuring the nine regular season meets she participated in, Hannah had four first place finishes, three in second and two thirds, scoring in all nine. Hannah came back to finish strong last year, competing against girls who were older. She remained on the local competition team for that year, missing three meets after breaking an ankle. "We had to give that a lot of thought because of the travel," Mrs. Hannah showed an aptitude for gymnastics and was invited to be part of the Aim High Academy's National team during the 2011-2012 season. Santos said, adding that she knew the owner Amy Nelson, when they were gymnasts together at a Rhode Island gym. Hannah, the daughter of David and Heather (Mello) Santos, has been involved in gymnastics training since she was four years old. She earned the Jackie Court Award as the top scorer. Her floor exercise score of 9.65 was the highest score for competitors of all ages.
